Meet Babysitter
Uncle Tele-Radio

Name: Uncle Tele-Radio (aka Babysitter)
Street Name: Jett Westinghouse
Meet Babysitter, the official chatbot and mascot of Art Mechanix and Poperratic! You'll spot Babysitter as the smiling face in the Poperratic logo.
Babysitter is a unique blend of a mid-century TV and radio, two of the most important inventions in modern history. Together, they embody the many contrasts you'll find in our work, like past and future and the blending of traditional and modern.
These classic mediums were incredibly important to Jammes Luckett, not just for inspiring her music but also as one of the ways she discovered and learned music and other skills growing up in Generation X. They represent a bridge from the past to the future of art, especially Jammes's own creative journey.
Different versions of Babysitter will continue to appear as a symbol, icon, and living video display throughout the Art Mechanix and Poperratic universes, occasionally offering glimpses into ARMX life and pop culture. Think of Babysitter as your friendly guide, packed with deep knowledge to help you explore and discover all things Art Mechanix.
The inspiration for Babysitter's design came from the lyrics of an early Alien Tempo Experiment 13 song, "Latch Key," that was written in 1999 (its first studio recording is planned). Jammes is from the "Latchkey Generation" (Gen X), marking a time in which they were literally and figuratively left to their own devices.
