Bad Girl
[Luckett]
Published by Pied Piper Lorre Musesick (ASCAP)I have no desire
To be called
A Liar
So, I told someone
“I answer to no one.”Does it make me
A bad girl?
Often makes me
A glad girlEasier to be me
So, please,
Reserve
And expect
That I do deserve
The respectDoesn’t make me
A bad girl
Often makes me
A sad girlI lost you
But found meOh!
Is there someone
Out there (I doubt you’re there)
With their own
Lone ID (I’ll stand alone)
Who’ll stand beside me?You can call me
A bad girl
Doesn’t make me
A mad girlNo regrets,
I’ll do the time
Even though
I’ve done no crimeJust had to
Find myselfHush! Hush!
Hush, glad girl!Hush! Hush!
Hush, glad girl!Sister Schadenfreude Sister TransistorSister Schadenfreude

Published by Pied Piper Lorre Musesick (ASCAP)Some people
Get what they deserve
A table for one
In a reserved seat
Every establishment
Where just deserts
Are served
Reviews are in
And it sure tastes sweetSome people
Love inflicting pain
More than
The air that they breathe
When the Fates
Finally decide
To end their reign
Sadistic pleasures
Are then treasured
By meThe hours
Crying my heart out
Now devour —
Eating your heart outI’m still laughing
From the day beforeWell, everybody knows
That you’re your biggest fan
Started the club
Without paying your dues
Made the world
A runway
To show
You wear the pants
Now, nobody
Wants to be
In your shoesIn suitable proportion
I relish your misfortuneI’m still laughing
From the day beforeYou thought that you were
Beyond and above
Doing your dirt
Mocking
The institute of love
Until life gave you
More than you
Bargained for — A war!
You keep on gaffe-ing
I’ll keep on
Sassin’, clappin’
Uncontrollably
Cacklin’
Flappin’
Rollin’ on the floorThese tears
You’re seeing me cry, now
Seasoned
With abdominal snide — Ow!
(I split my sides)
Ha! Ha!Still laughing
From the day beforeHa!
Ha ha ha ha!
Ha ha ha ha ha!First it was my heart
Now, my belly —
Oh, it hurts!Ha! Ha!
Written and recorded as a demo in 2003, "Bad Girl" emerged as a compelling blueprint for a unique musical vision. The track pays homage to a timeless sound with the blending of defiant girl group energy, pretty harmonies, and a sweet string arrangement, underpinned by a dizzying series of key changes.
However, the track then distinguishes itself with an innovative ending: a "pop orchestra" of natural environment sounds subtly takes over the music, creating a distinctive sonic experience.
