    Tears of
    Morning
    Shake the grass
    And the Sun done
    Hid his face

    Empty space
    Like canvas,
    Bare,
    Pallet’s dry
    And he says,

    “You don’t know it,
    But all we ever
    Had to do was
    Look at the sky
    ‘Cause she’s
    Blue Like You—
    Always changin’
    Nothin’ else to do.”

    Hear the wind
    She whispers, “Why?”
    And you know
    Just what she means

    Still didn’t know that
    It’s breaking her heart
    Every time
    She

    Looks at the sky
    ‘Cause she’s
    Blue Like You—
    Always changin’
    Nothin’ else to do.”

    Hear the wind
    She whispers, “Why?”
    And you know
    Just what she means…

When daydreams grow up to become rock songs, they often explode into the likes of this dynamic Poperratic track (a version of a song originally co-written and frequently performed during Jammes' college days).

"Blue Like You" is a dreamy and contemplative rock track with a sonic landscape defined by rich and layered harmonies along with intricate drum breaks that punctuate the rhythm with unexpected textures.

Originally written in 1995 by Poperratic's Jammes Luckett and Lucky McKee as students at USC, a stripped-down version was previously a staple in live shows for their band, The Disastronauts.

Years later, in 2009, the song lent its name to a short film, also titled "Blue Like You," created by Lucky McKee for a Microsoft Xbox 360 OTT project called "Horror Meets Comedy." While Jammes contributed bass and some vocals to a separate version created by the production, this release presents the dynamic arrangement that she herself envisioned.

There was a brief 2009 digital release of this track but it has been remixed and remastered for the 2025 reissue.
