About this work
"Blue Like You" is a dreamy and contemplative rock track with a sonic landscape defined by rich and layered harmonies, punctuated by intricate drum breaks. Originally written in 1995 by Jammes Luckett and Lucky McKee as students at USC, a stripped-down version was a staple of live shows for their band, The Disastronauts. In 2009, the song lent its name to a short film Lucky McKee created for a Microsoft Xbox 360 project — Jammes contributed bass and vocals to that separate version, but this release presents the dynamic arrangement she herself envisioned, remixed and remastered from a brief 2009 digital release.
