About this work

Garagio is a concept album of 18 original songs inspired by the infectious popular music of the 1960s and 70s, spanning British Invasion, Motown, surf, dub, proto-metal, punk, and disco. Popular music from decades past is playfully decontextualized, reconstructed, and reinterpreted — a tour through AM transistor radios, jukeboxes, and garages full of amps and sweat. Originally released under the Art Mechanix imprint rather than under an artist name; performed under the Sister Transistor name.
